福岡 イチゴ 明太子

A newspaper article on yday's chinese newspaper reported about the famous Fukuoka Strawberries. It said during Sakura season, Japanese will buy some strawberries and eat it under the Sakura trees. Oh, no wonder when i was there, there's aplenty of strawberries in the supermarkets and they were quite cheap, from Y299/box.

The article also reports tat Fukuoka is one of the major exporter of strawberries, fruits and green tea worldwide. The farmers had a better life because of the International market. Japanese government supports the farmers by giving them grants to innovate and buy better machineries.

Fruits exports worldwide will print "福" on it's packaging because it is a lucky symbol and also means their perfecture.

Just refreshed my memory. Fukuoka perfecture --> Hakata city.
http://www.japan-hotel-reservations.net/japan_map/fukuoka_japan_map.html

I think it was in Hakata that i saw the dried strawberry noodles and many strawberry candies, snacks etc. Hakata city is also famous for it's ramen and 明太子 (fish roe?). Tried it's ramen but i think Sapporo ramen is the best.

Hakata ramen. I didnt know they are famous for it's ramen until on the way back to Osaka, i smsed my supplier to say i went to Hakata. Then, she replied 'oh, Hakata is famous for ramen." Heng, i ate a bowl for lunch. I feel it was so-so nia..
http://www.rakuten.co.jp/sn-fukuoka/970690/979284/#950122

I dont know what is 明太子 until i asked my father host. He drew a picture of it hahaha...and the next day, he went to supermart to buy a small pack. I tasted a few bits,,err, it was fishy and abit salty. Japanese ate it with steamed rice. There are spicy and non-spicy type.

Yummy ichigos. Vonnie, pls buy some at their supermarts when you are there. it is really cheap.

What a coincidence, i was thinking which perfecture grows famous strawberries and then, i read about it in yday's chinese newspaper.

X Japan live

Woke up this morning contemplating if should go to the 2 X Japan's live at Tokyo Dome in May. 2nd May is hide's anniversary (Kaori said in her email last night..ive acutally forgotten about it coz i dont take much note about hide). Kaori also said Yoshiki said he will plan a live in Osaka. She is overjoyed by this news. It is because she is currently looking for a full time job now (perhaps working part time or not working a the moment). She passed her book keeping exams last month, so is looking for jobs in the related field. She said it is hard to find full time job. Maybe Japan shld introduce SPUR Programme there,,so the Japanese can upgrade themselves for other sectors?!!

The local x japan fan is buying 2 nites each of the Y12800 tix. So, i asked supplier to ballot one each night for me.. if heng heng strike, den plan to go anot. If didnt strike, means dun need to go at all.

The song Dahlia popped into my mine this morning after i woke up,,maybe it is telling me i should go or i will strike the tixs?! If i go, den go for how long? I plan it to be a darn shoestring trip.

Surprised there were 3 enquires for the gaze's latest single, normal edt. I tot it cant sell. It was a local customer who ordered but went MIA. He didnt turn up for his payment twice and ive smsed him twice, but no avail. Wonder y like tat?! Or only Sporeans will be like tat.

yday had another meet up. The boy was 15mins late and he only sms when he was 10mins late and said "sorry, i will be arriving in 5mins". I didnt have his contact no, so i left after 1omins. 5mins later, den received his sms. Baka siar,,should have the courtesy to inform in advance right? NOT when late liao den inform..late for after 10mins den inform? No courtesy and no common sense! So far, the worst one was another guy..late for 1h15mins! I finished my barangs at bugis den, he met me there. Guess he must be dolling up himself coz he wore full punk attire with make up!!! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Uniquely Singaporean customers!!

Tat gal emailed last night and informed she "got wind" of fans who said can ballot the july's tour tix via Heresy liao. Asked if it is true. I have no idea,,so i awaits supplier's reply. So kanchiong for wat? I more kanchiong about my x japan tickets...hahaha.

ulcer!

Got this ulcer near the lower parts of my lip. I accidently bit that area a few days back,,now the ulcer pops out. Yday morning can feel 2 "inner pimples"growing inside the loop of my left ear. Whenever i felt heaty,,such pimples will grow to serve as some kind of warning?! Drank lots of water yday.

Oh,,vonnie,,so u meant the pillar with ur babies mega posters..i only checked out your blog this morning. It is great to create a vacuum right? When let go liao, become a vacuum for good things. That's wat ive told my 47yo fren..i gave her the same book too. I am happy for your that you've found a course in Japan that you like.

Maki's rosary sold. This customer is happening too,,she always travelled between slovenia/Slovakia? and austria. So, she said send to either address is ok. I read somewhere that Austria is the most beautiful country in Europe.

the GazettE/ Without A Trace - a very nice track!~

Many Lives, Many Masters

This is an exhilarating book, finish reading it yday.

Based on a true story.

This Psychiatrist hypnotise his client Catherine. Catherine said during her trance state that she was reincarnated 86times! She can even describe all her different lives in different BCs. Sometimes, she is a man, sometimes a child, a maid, a pilot etc.
http://www.amazon.com/Many-Lives-Masters-Prominent-Psychiatrist/dp/0671657860

One part was "if you didnt learn your lessons in your previous life, it will be carried forward into your current life."

It is a very mind blowing book.

Just for laughs!

So long didnt visit this site:

http://www.talkingcock.com/html/article.php?sid=2721

Once i passed by a carpark (outside a hawker centre) during lunch time and a lady passenger alighted. She walked to the driver (her friend/colleagues), pointing and said "is that parking space right? i will walk fast there to CHOPE it for you. You take your time!!

Witnessed 2 incidents yday, starring FT (Foreign talents)

1. On the train
this seemly Myammar/ thailand/ Vietnam young couple (?! i dont know what;s their nationality coz i dont understand their language) was seating on the 2 corner seats reserved for handicapped/elderly/pregnant woman. An old couple came in and the old man looks frail with his wife holding his arms, supporting him. They stand right in front of this couple. The train was getting packed and suddenly, i heard a firm and loud voice "Can you pls give up this seat for this man?". I watched diagonally and saw it was a lady (early 40's, with her 2 primary kids) "ordering" the woman to give up her seat. The woman quickly stand up and pass her bag to her boyfriend. Wah, the lady was soo gung-ho!! I think the Myammar etc couple might not be aware that all 2 corner seas are reserved for people with special neats.

(Incidently, on my way home, while waiting for a customer to pick up her stuffs at a train station. Saw a pair of old Chinese (fm China) Grandparents, with their grandson on the stroller. Their grandson was eating ICE-CREAM when they enter the gantry. The security guard was soo KU-KU, he told them that no eating was allowed. So, the grandparents said they will stand aside and ask the kid to quickly finish up his ice cream BUT that security guard said "no, no need,ur may go ahead,,just to remind your tat next time cannot eat inside the station." HUH? like tat also can???? Met them and board the same train and same door as them. They rushed in like nobody;s biz and the stroller hit a man's leg as the grandmother was chionging for the seats with her grandson. The man looked awe and shook his head. Maybe they had been influenced by our local's kiasu-ism. My Brunei's 2 customers marvelled and laugh when they witness Singaporeans rushing in immediately when the train door opened. They even took many pictures about it. It was SOOO Embarassing!)

2. After alighting at cityhall yday,,went up the long escalator. Dont know why i looked behind me and guess wat? A Chinese (China) woman (early 20's) was happily sipping her diet coke (black canned) with a straw on the way up the escalator!

Salute to "Foreign Talents"

Think was yday that our MM said Singapore's landscape/culture will change within the next 15yrs because of the hugh immigration influx. Ive already seen afew lately..imagine by the next 15yrs?

Ive started to think if i want to be here in the next 10years. It seems like a yuckie place by then,,

We have no sound economy plans..only rely on EXPORTS to other countries. Like tat die liao,,if Singaporeans want to retire and suay suay kena Recession, then you are on your own.

Dear Vonnie,

That girl and her bf wants to go to the gaze's july tour (last 3 days). The bf emailed to ask when can buy the tickets and signed off and him and Sharon. Finally, "tat girl"'s name came to light. That guy was polite in the mail, so i know he;s the one who sent the mail. Good,,less 2 fans to fight the sept tix with you..hahaha..Btw, for the july tour, seems most of the venues are very small,,,at those huay guan aka community centres's hall.

What is the name of this fruit?

The ever curious Momotaro
My Sister-in-law's cousin gave us this fruit today. Her JB relatives grows it outside their terrace house. It has no preservatives and is very sweet.
I only know the hokkien name. The cousin asked me what's the Engrish name for this food. Told her i will find out. Anyone?

exhilarating dream! dreamt i went to gazette's 7th live,,zzz

Dreamt about this on friday nite. The opening of the dream was me facing a row of booths selling gazette's 7th live tour goods But there is no one buying. I was soo surprised! Of coz i want to chiong for it BUT when i opened my wallet, there is only 2x S$50!! How can i come to Japan with only 2pcs of S$50??? I began to panic and the first thing i tot of was to withdraw cash from my credit card. Then, suddenly, i remembered i havent informed my hosts tat im coming to Japan but i came liao!! I was so worried if they dont allow me to stay at their place..i even tot if this was the case, the most i sleep in park coz i have no $$$.

Next scene was teleport to Singapore! I went to the ticketing counter but an Indian guy told me the tickets was sold out liao! I began to look for the touts who are selling the tickets nearby but there were none! Then, a moment later, Gazette was having live concert at my neighbour;s house! The windows were not fully closed, so i can peeped through and see the live. Saw Kai, wah,, he got something like 2 breast on his chest and can bounced when he's playing the drums!~ The place was not fully occupied and i see the fans being able to move freely and do their headbanging thing.

I woke up and was feeling panic because i was bringing only 2x S$50 to Japan,,xia si wo!! If i cant find a place to stay, will go camp at Yusaku's noodle shop...when he knocks off, i go there to sleep,,lolz...

To Vonnie:
the fan who requested for 3 premium tix is from australia,,she went to a gazette's live last year,,i think i saw her coz she went with her cousin. (Saw 2 ang mor girls in the same goods queue as me).

U sure can visit the mountains someday!~ Try not to visit tourist spots (unless u r really interested) when u r in japan,,it's better to explore some ulu places...eg, take train to ulu stations. I tried tat with Shinkansen and at the exit of one particular station (near Takayama), when i exit, i saw a middle road and infront of this road, there are many mountains. The side of the road are some small shops. It is a ulu place and dun have many ppl. Also, ulu places tend to sell things, esp food at cheaper rates. I ate 6 big tako balls near one ulu station outside yamanote loop at oni 399yen,i think. It has a long queue,,so i also go and queue (typical singaporean lah!). Hope your upcoming trip is filled with nice fun experiences. Maki is coming back tomorrow after midnite!~~~

Japan's few sacred mountains

Mt Tateyama - my next destination when i go to Japan. Really must visit. Last year i went there BUT the route was closed because the snow was not cleared yet. I was literally pulling out my hair when i saw the notice at the ticketing counter. *hammer chest*

http://www.kansaiscene.com/current/html/feature.shtml

Ive not been to Mt. Fuji despite been to Japan a couple of times. Dont know why, it is a very magnificent mountain (if you take the bullet train, for about 5mins Mt. Fuji is just beside you) but i dont have the urge to visit this mountain.

There's a heresy fan who is interest to buy 3 Premium tickets for the 9/5 live at saitama. I dun think can buy so many, perhaps can buy only 1 because the seats are reserved for FC members only.

Just read this info from yahoo japan news. Seems like the problem lies with Heath.. It is such a short notice for the Korean fans,,,3.21 and 3.22 is their live in Seoul..they cancelled it about 1 week prior the live. It is so sad for the Korean fans.

Their May's live in Japan has become unconfirmed too.

ugly slippers and rants

received this email in the VS mailbox today. I tot it was a spam mail..

Err,,looks kinda ugly and cheapo.. looks like S$3 quality...
http://vintage-loves.weebly.com/

Yday was telling my sister-in-law about our elections coming. During the 2006 election, the ruling party used "lift upgrading" as carrot. This time round, it is -10% economy output to scare us into voting for them.

Last few days my mum saw the news about Sands hiring 800ppl. I quoted her a scenario. Eg, at foodcourt, hawker centres, retail and restaurants and sbs bus drivers, the companies hired foreigners (at lower wages) But did they sell you their things/svs at cheaper rates? No, the money they saved from hiring foreigners went into the pocket of these companies.

Our MM said many countries are tightening their immigration laws but not Singapore. We are still opening our doors. Target is 6.5million, now is 4.8million. Still got 1.7 million to go!!
http://scientific-child-prodigy.blogspot.com/2009/03/living-in-overpopulated-world.html
"I think the ONLY thinking the government appears to have done on migration is two fold: first, keep the proportion of one race high; second increase the population base to increase the revenue base. That is it" --> The blogger said this. It is soooo true!!

Went to my sister-in-law's cousin's house last night. It was a 4room flat. 1 room belongs to her cousin (a couple + 2 children, 12 and 14yo respectively), 1 room for the cousin's Malaysian relatives (3 adults) and 1 room is for a PRC couple (both 24yo, just got PR, registered marriage in singapore). It was an overwhelmed sight. They housed 5 foreigners!

Yday the ranking of the World's most expensive cities. Singapore ranked no. 10. If one day Singapore ranked top 5, i would prefer to live in Osaka, since by then, not much difference in cost of living.

Till then, i can be like the little boy boy i met on last sat. He was 15mins late and i asked him "where did u come from?". He immediately said "Singapore!". I controlled my laughter and replied "of coz lah,,i mean which area u come from". He said "Yishun".

I will remember this boy boy's initial answer when i move to Osaka..LOLZ

bizzare!

Was at Orchard mrt waiting for the train and witnessed an extremely bizzare thing. A china aunty (40+) walked passed me, holding an almost finished ICE-CREAM CONE! My unbelieveable eyes just kept staring at the ice-cream cone as she continued walking. After walking for about 10 steps, the aunty put the balance cone into her mouth. A minute later, the train came. OMG, ice-cream cone inside the station?! It was about 3.30pm, off peak period. Wonder what was our mrt staffs doing? What if the aunty was carrying a bomb?!

Something less bizarre,,,,a local mei mei asked if the A9's discotheque tee is BLACK. HUH? The picture showed BLUE.... i cant believe sporeans would ask such questions...unless she is seriously colour blind...

What a bizarre day!

My second aunty called my mum this evening to announce a great news. She strike S$6000 (2nd prize) in today's 4D. It was her son's car plate number. Her son strike S$12,000! A whopping S$18,000 for their family tonight!~~ Huat ah!!

My mum strike S$2000 at most,,,hope her good luck is on the way too!~~

This morning i woke up feeling happy because i dont remember i had a dream last night. It is a sign of relieve but wait,,,i think i Had a dream. David Hartanto Widjaja - the truth?

So many points showed that our local media is (or might be?) is doing the cover up of the truth. Makes me wonder if it is the professor who pushed david down the building.

Beans and bean sprouts

was awaken by my mum's reasoning with the 10yo boy. The boy insisted that his green bean plant is going to harvest into more green beans. My mum said "no, it will turn into bean sprouts only." He said "no, im sure it will give me more green beans, so i can repeat the cycle and plant more and more to get more free green beans!"

He brought his plant and showed it to Momotaro. My sis was here and he said proudly "this is my plant and it will turn into green beans!". My sister was silent,,hahaha.

It is good that the boy insists on his logic, until one day,,he'll realised his plant cant produce green beans afterall. During this period, he is hopeful. It is a plain innocent thought and is what a child should have.

Had 2 headaches for this week. The moment i woke up,, my head was hurting. Took 2 strong panadols during those 2 days...dunno y,,ive not had headaches for donkey years. Maybe it's the weather.

My dreams still persist daily. Last night was abt camping with friend and i brought my dog along. In the dream, he pee-ed on my bed....

The P6 girl is not p6 after all. She is sec 1, 13yo...lolz..last night met her again coz she wants to buy miyavi's poster. Luckily she is only 15mins away from my house. She said she saw our site last year (when she was P6) and only this year, she starts to buy..XD So far, have 2 13yo customer. One was in 2006 and now in 2009. Sometimes, i worried if they will kena cheated when they do meet ups coz they are soo young.

Conversation with a 10yo boy

My neighbour's 1oyo boy, wj came and stood at our door this evening, calling "momotaro, momotaro". Momotaro is always excited to hear his voice. This time, wj brought with him a slice of kraft cheese and was hoping to feed it to momotaro. I said "ok, feed him slowly". momotaro swallowed the cheese without much biting coz he loves cheese.

After wj completed the feeding, i said "cheese is good coz it equals to a glass of milk. Which means, u had just fed momotaro a glass of milk!". He looked shocked and replied "oh,,i know, when you put the cheese into a glass of water, it turns to milk right?!". I was amused by his reply. It is great to talk to kids and discover their simple world.

Monchhichi got instore events!~~ I must go to their live events if i happen to be in Japan. Imagine seeing the 2 life size Monchhichi!~ I went hysteric when i saw 2 life size chipmucks at tokyo disneyland a few years ago.

http://www.monchhichi.co.jp/hp/02_news/01.html

Received Father host's email this morning. Quite surprise. He asked if my family and me is ok because there's news report in Japan yday regarding our Merlion kena striked by lightning on last Sat. I emailed him 2 urls pictures of the broken parts. Japanese just cant get enough of our Merlion,,lolz.. Told him that despite being hit by the lightning, it still spills water!~

It is 10.42pm now, the cleaner (bangala) just came by to sweep our corridor. Wonder why he is soo late?? Maybe his company is saving manpower,,so the whole day, he must be sweeping neighbouring blocks...

Recieved 3 mails requesting for A9's latest tour goods,,,,so far no one asked about gaze tour goods...maybe when the listings is out....A9 have soo many items..even have rice crackers!~ (gaze have water). Tohoshinki has rice crackers and candies..i think ayumi has some kind of food before,,,cant remember what is it.
