Financial Crisis

So true,,those people who are responsible for current financial mess should be punished..it is appalling that the US government may plan to use 700billion of taxpayer's $ to mop up this financial mess.

Imagine im paying tax and our government use it to clean up those banker's mistake...while im being burdened with inflation, decrease in value of US$.. it is soo unfair...

Yes, i shall go and buy gold and silver funds at our UOB...

Last few day read on our papers saying ppl buy some mini bonds from a local bank which was invested in the Lehman brothers. They loose their $ (which is for their retirements and children's education) just like that... that bank only have one statement for their investors. They said " Principle amount is Not guarantee. It is stated in the prospectus". Government info says "pls read the small prints in future." In summary, they are saying "that is your problem."

Today, the chinese paper's features Hongkongers queeing up at their Monetary Embassy to request the government to guarantee their loses on the mini bond. Many were old folks..

Last Sunday's paper featured one local tycoon predicting after this financial crisis, next is the credit card crisis in the US. So scary....

I am fat (dream!) + cutie gaze fans,,,

Last night had a bad dream. I dreamt that i had a pair of super fatty elephant legs and my first thought was "oh no, have to resume my jogging!!!" So scary man!!~ After i brushed my teeth,,i went to the mirror and check out my legs..phew,,,not soo fatty after all..lolz... I think it was because im having many unhealthy meals lately..

Met yy after meeting xuan. We went to Novena sq. I didnt go there for donkey years. It has been revamped and expanded. However, there were no crowds. Many shops are moving out and a few arent even opened!~ I bought 2 small bags and yy bought a mini bolero and a small bag.

After that, we went for little india for dinner, then do some grocery shopping at Mustafa. It is really a great experience shopping there. Most of their items are imports. Esp chocolates. Mostly are from Europe and Australia. So, if you are scared of China imports..can buy chocolates from Mustafa.

My sister told my mum during dinner today not to buy China diary products.

Another friend smsed today regarding the china's diary scare. It reads "m&ms, snickers, mento's yoghurt bottle, dove chocolate, oreo wafer sticks. monmilk, dutch lady sterilised milk, wall's all natural mango, mini poppers ice cream, magnum ice cream, moo sandwhich ice cream, mini cornetto, youcan ice cream. We have been asked by AVA to remove them from our stores. If you have any of these items in your house, dont eat them."
- Well, i dunno some of these products..i only have Dutch lady milk at home... I think will shop at Mustafa in future..lolz...

Today received a boy boy's email. he is so "cute",,he wanted to buy the gaze file..and under the meet-up column, he wrote his school's address and specify "outside the gate". So funny right..hahaha.. His thinking is sooo pure... he imagined i will turn up at his school gate..lolz...

Yday a petiti boy boy came for the meet up to pay for the leech singles. He is sooo small size and was accompanied by 2 tall friends. They were standing behind him like his bodyguards. I cant help but to ask him "btw, how old r u?" He said he is Sec 2 and his friend introduced him to our blogshop. Wah,, he is only 14,,, gaze fans are becoming younger?!

My secondary school mate that invited me to her brother's wedding didnt even call me..i think she must have forgotten she had invited me...lolz...

hi bye friends

been too lazy to blog lately..

Received my secondary friend's wedding invitation card for her brother's wedding on last Sat. Her brother's wedding is this coming sat (to think she asked for my address one mth ago,,and i received the invitaton 1 week before the dinner??) is marrying a Vietnamese wife. Dont think i'll be going coz i dont know her brother and there are only 3 (plus this friend) secondary school classmates tat will be there...these classmates are the ones who rushed to get married without going to Poly. They married after working a few years after O levels..i wonder if i can click with them.....

Tried to call her this afternoon but she changed hp no!!~ So, just now, i called her brother and told him who am i and that i wont be able to attend his wedding (must rsvp mah). He dont even know who i am and he is not sure about her sister's new hp no..omg,,,so he said 'err,,i will ask her to call you later."

Moreover, the reason my friend invited me to her bro's wedding is coz "MY is going,,so i tot to invite you also." Too overly honest ba? If MY is not going,,she wont even think of me...let alone inviting me? I wont say such reason if i were to invite my friends to my siblings wedding. It should be "i would like to invite you to join us in this joyous ocasion."

This whole group has been filed under 'Hi Bye Friend".

I had a very good friend who got married in June last year. The lembek thing is, her current husband was met thru an event which i asked her to go. And,,she didnt invite me either. One fine evening, she just smsed to say "hey,,today i saw A at Crystal Jade while my parents and my future in laws are discussing about our marriage." The purpose of this sms was to inform she saw A,,not about her wedding. So i replied "oh Congratulations! So when is your big day?"

She " Err, 10th June,,BUT we are not inviting any friends,,only relatives. After our ROM tat day,,we only book 3 tables for our relatives."

Me " oic,,it is ok.

She "i am staying with my future husband now..at Ghim moh,,"

Me " (thinking of sending her a wedding gift,,afterall, should send my wishes),,so, what is the address, can sms me?"

She " for wat? (dunno is act blur or??)

Me " just sms lah"

She "ok"

After she got my wedding gift (it was some Precious Moments musical box),,she called me ,,tat was 3 days before her big day.

She "hey, thank you for the lovely gift. Can you come on Sat?"

Me " dun mention, it is just a small token. This sat and sun im having an bazzar at youth park,,so i cant make it"

She "huh, like tat arh,,i have spare seatings,,so i tot you might want to come"

Me " (stumbled)..cant lah,,ive booked my bazaar liao..anyway, thanks for inviting"

Jia lat right?? First, she only invite me after she saw my gift and secondly,,she is overly honest to say there are Spare seats! Zzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sometimes, overly blunt is not a good thing.

Dear Vonnie, dun give up on the Japanese school thingy,,you must be persistance!~

V6 and gaze

V6 Auntie came back yday. She called this evening to say the V6 concert was great. She didnt manage to get additional tickets for other show coz there's almost no one selling any tickets a the venue. She said the ushers are catching ppl who were selling the tickets. She felt soo heng to get 1 ticket thru our agent. The seat was great...she can see all the 6 of them clearly...she is very very happy!~~ I am very happy to hear that. However, she said it was always raining there,,so she didnt go many places. Auntie is quite timid,,she dont dare to venture very far from her hotel... it was quite a shame coz she was there for 10days....

The 2 day bazaar went really well,, especially on the 1st day. Many customers whom i didnt see for quite some time turned up. It was such a pleasant surprise. Sunday came a family of X fans. The Grandmother (she is not a fan), the Son and his parents. The Son and his parents went to the X Reunion live..So onz man!!~ The boy bought 120bucks worth of assorted items and his father bought 50bucks,,,sooo united man!!~ They came around 11.10am while i was still unpacking the stuffs. The father said 'nvm,,u slowly unpack,we will browse around first." So happening!!~ His mother asked him to buy some Yoshiki on cover mags but he said he got his photo book liao. His father said they cant come on Sat coz his son was still in the NS. Long Live X Japan!!~

hide's stuffs sold the most..mostly were newbies who bought it. It is surprising that posters were selling well :) One mei mei bought phantas, mucc poster and quite a number of accessories. She was soo cool. It's the first time i saw her.

Another mei mei lost her way,,she tot it was the Esplanade library ( i didnt know there is a library there). In the end, had to inform her to walk back to cityhall and take train to bugis mrt (it was my fault,,the nearest mrt shld be bugis). National library is beside Parco bugis. Told her it is the tall building full of glasses. She said "ahhh,,i noe liao!"...So,,i saw her 30mins later,,,lolz..she bought a bodyline lolita bag..den off to the vivo matsuri.

I am grateful to all the customers that made an effort to our sale :)

My shoulder is aching from the event due to carrying those uber heavy boxes,,,lolz... today it is better liao.

Another mei mei said Alice 88th had 2 booths at the Vivo matsuri..cool...but she said "Aunty Alice is sexy,,,show many flesh". I said it is ok lah...it is her usual attire,,need not be alarmed. Mei mei said this Vivio matsuri is worst than the previous one..i dunno as i dun go to such events.

It was such a pleasant coincidence that our outdoor sale clash with the vivo matsuri. Despite not having a booth there, we did exceptionally well at another location.

Customers are asking for the Burst tour goods,,,one ang mor mei mei said she want the black t-shirt that the staff is wearing. To show which tee, she said" ive found this clip"
http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=nEciaHb4fc8

It is quite a lovely tee,,,however,,, no news of it yet. Dunno why this year's burst goods are sooooo scarced. Had found the brand new pamphlet and paid close to Y9000 for it. This ang mor mei mei is buying but she wants more goods.... now, it is like,,she got $$$ but no goods....

Maki said he bid US$50 for the pamphlet at the lj site..but the seller is travelling now and there is no closing date,,,so he is not sure if he will be the winner... If i can find another pamphlet,,i will put it at ebay and see where it will be heading. Last few days, spotted a PSC 05 live dvd with comment cd. It was sold for whopping US$465!!~

Life's Missing Instruction Manual

Was reading the above book last night,,came across some interesting points. Ive summarized it.

1. Growing Old May Be a Choice
Bad diet/ poor health choices (drinking, smoking etc), stress, our deep rooted beliefs/programming that aging is normal and the biggest factor of all: the baggage that we drag around with us every day makes us old.

Aging may be unneccessary and should be classified as being a disease, rather than something that is a normal part of life.

2. Are you playing a role of victim?
So, before you choose to be a lifelong victim, ask yourself "Where are my opportunities? Should i relocate? Should i pick better friends? Find a better job? What does my intuition say?

And i am sure you can think of many more questions that will help guide you to self-betterment and get you closer to your goals. Listen to your heart and make choices that actively serve to better yourself. Anything less is choosing to live as a victim. You are the only one who can choose the life you live.

3. Failure is not death
A famous businessman once said, "i'm 74 yeas old and a millionaire now, but i had to try alot of things and fail at alot of things to get here. Her's what i learned about failure: Nothing bad ever happens to you."

Nothing bad ever happens to you.

There it is. It's the secret of handling failure, You go on to the next thing. You dont give you. You take a deep breath, You dust yourself off. You learn.

And you do the next thing.

Failure is not death.
**********************************************************************
This book is soo motivating.

Vonnie, sorry to hear about your dad's arm and your mum missing the ge tai and blaming ur dad. I think it is natural ba..coz ppl tend to automatically blame other ppl.

One of my friend, her dad had stroke and now her family becomes not so well to do (coz her father cannot work for the past 10years). Her mum would openly tell ppl and relatives it is her husband's fault tat now they are living in a budget, without ever caring for her husband's feeling (at least ur mum is telling u secretly). They used to live in a banglow but now "downgraded" to a 5 room apartment. Her mum is soo grumpy and angry over her situation that she was dignosed with breast cancer 2 years ago (Your illness is caused by wat u think. For eg, ppl with leg problem is because they had a hard time moving ahead with life). Now, my poor friend had to earn alot of $$ to pay medical bills of both her parents and also the family's expenses. Her 2 other elder siblings got married and dont bother about their parents... Sometimes, my friend will still say "last time my father will drive us to orchard road for shopping and dinings." Oh well, tat was Last time....Unfortunately, she borrowed $ but spend it on her leisure items (like ipod and agnes b wallet) rather than her family. The secret was leaked out and now, nobody dare to lend her $ or walk near her. She has no friends coz she havent repay some of them the $.

Quite excited about my sat's outdoor sale..wonder what would the situation be like coz never done it on a pushcart before. Had packed 2 cartons of stuffs.. Maki and cockroach is coming. After that, they will go to the Vivo's jrock matsuri. I dont like Spore's matsuri..To think some1 at sgcafe asked "got japanese bands come anot?". Sooo Newbie..

And Xuann, i still own you tako balls,,i didnt forget.
